Landscape Newfoundland and Labrador

Achieving excellence in the delivery of services and products across all sectors of the horticultural industry since 1992!

From the Desk of the President

Landscape Newfoundland & Labrador Horticultural Association is the premier association representing the horticultural industry across our province and nationally through our affiliation with the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA). Formed in1992, the association is a non-profit professional association of business owners and operators in the landscape and horticultural (non-food) industry in this province, working for its members.

On behalf of our newly elected executive and board of directors, our Executive Director - Christine Finn, and myself, I want to thank our members for their continued support and participation in the recent Annual General Meeting.

We now have a new strategic plan to focus our efforts over the next 3-5 years. We continue to raise the profile of the industry throughout the province, through member benefit programs, training and advocacy.

Members continue to take advantage of the different money saving programs available through the CNLA Member Services, including insurance, vehicle and equipment rebates, software, clothing and many others.

We continue to promote industry training and apprenticeship programs with our goal to hopefully launch apprenticeship training in 2018.

We encourage our municipal and provincial governments to support the Canadian Landscape Standards and to understand the significant contribution our products and services make in addressing climate change mitigation, and building sustainable communities.

Many of our growers, retailers and landscapers are embracing the opportunities associated with edible gardens. Across the province and the country the lines between food and non- food horticulture are starting to blend together. As part of our efforts to promote this initiative, Landscape NL has approved a slight name change to the Landscape NL Horticultural Association.

I reach out to all our members and invite you to participate on one of the Landscape NL Horticultural Association committees, provide feedback on issues that effect your business and provide input on ways for Landscape NL Horticultural Association to serve you better.Type your paragraph here.
