Landscape Newfoundland and Labrador

Achieving excellence in the delivery of services and products across all sectors of the horticultural industry since 1992!

Communities in Bloom is a national and provincial program that recognizes community participation in projects involving beautification, heritage, and environmental awareness. This is a great opportunity for communities to generate civic pride and local participation, while gaining recognition across the country

Participants are judged on the quality of the municipality's green spaces, diversity and originality of its landscaping, general tidiness, environmental awareness, heritage, and the level of community involvement.

Landscape NL Horticultural Association is proud to be the provincial coordinator of  the Communities in Bloom Newfoundland & Labrador program.

Administration and delivery is carried out by LNLHA staff, with the assistance of volunteers to promote the initiative and provide mentorship and evaluation support.

Now is a time when our communities are facing one of the most challenging times in recent history with the onset of COVID 19. Your participation in the CiB NL program may be one of the highest impact and most economical investments that your municipality could make to sustain community engagement and lead your community through your COVID recovery initiatives.
CiB NL is planning a regular CiB program in 2021 (with slight adaptations where required in the event of COVID-19 restrictions). Since judging will be conducted in July and August 2021 and will take place outdoors, CiB NL will attempt to adjust aspects such as physically distancing, no indoor events, masks, etc. should these measures be required.
